Jagan promises the moon if CM

The YSR Congress president, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, made a slew of extravagant promises to better the lives of people in the state if he became the chief minister.

Addressing his party’s first plenary at Idupulapaya, coinciding with the 62nd birth anniversary of lare Dr YSR, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to bring back his father’s rule and former chief minister YSR.

He vowed to implement his late father’s schemes, and then went a step further and announced several schemes of his own.

He appealed to the people to elect 35 MPs from his party to Parliament. He said that he would implement the NREGS, if the people elected 35 of his party members to Parliament in the next election.

He promised 30 kg rice per month at Rs 2 per kilo, an increase in the old age pensions to Rs 700 a month and Rs 1,000 for disabled persons. He pledged to construct 10 lakh houses for the poor every year.
