Welcome back Superstar

The city is heaving a unified sigh of relief. It’s going to be beyond magnificent; the panorama is going to be flashes of déjà vu from the first-day-first-show of Rajini’s mega blockbusters. Bring on the pal abhiskam, and get out on to the streets and celebrate our Superstar’s return!

The news of Rajinikanth’s return has spread cheer across the city, bringing back reassured smiles on faces worrying about the Superstar and his health. Confirming the return, the superstar’s son-in-law Dhanush said, “Yes! The star is hearty and healthy and is finally coming back home to Chennai. He will be taking the Singapore Airlines flight tonight. From the airport, he plans to head straight to his Kelambakkam guesthouse, where he intends halting for a month to completely rest and rejuvenate before getting back to work in full swing”.

The Superstar’s fan base is over the moon. The posts on virtual space and microblogging sites by ecstatic fans from both within and outside the film industry express jubilation.

Our prayers have finally been answered. Our thalai is finally coming back home to us. May the good lord bless him with many more years of good health and, a long, fulfilling life. We hope to see the superstar back in his element on the big screen doing what he does best,” exclaims an ecstatic Siddharth, who calls himself a diehard fan of the superstar.

When the magnitude of excitement and joyous celebration are such, there are bound to be some unintended violations, for which the airport authorities and the police department are gearing up to make sure that the arrival goes smoothly without any untoward incident. “In a situation like this, where unaccounted flocks of visitors are expected to receive a guest, the airport authority usually calls on the police department and we work together as a team to keep the situation under control. But technically, within the airport premises, with the kind of security arrangement we have, there shouldn’t be any problem,” says the airport director, Harindharan.

Sanjay Cherian, manager, Singapore Airplanes, while keeping the details under wraps as per the airlines’ protocol, confirmed that the flight from Singapore would arrive at the Chennai International Airport at 10 pm. All in all, it’s time for the city to witness celebratory banners at every nook and corner; and larger-than-life cutouts of the superstar being baptized with high spirits and milk. Now, they know that everything is right with the world again.
