Lagadapati: 14(f) can’t be deleted

June 27: The Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, on Monday categorically said 14(f) clause in the Presidential Order cannot be deleted and it is “impossible”. Mr Rajagopal met the AICC general secretary and Union health minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Monday morning in Delhi. Later, talking to newsmen he reminded that a similar submission by the state government and the Assembly with regard to unified service rules for teachers has been pending with the Central government for the last five years. He said if the SI recruitment exams slated for August this year get postponed on account of demand to scrap 14(f) clause, many candidates appearing for the exams from Telangana region would be at a loss.

“When the government says it will not do injustice to Telangana people, there is no need to concern on this,” Mr Lagadapati said. He said it is also difficult for categorisation of SCs as is being sought by the state government on the representation of all political parties.
