The TTD executive officer, Mr I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, said that the temple administration of TTD has decided to cancel bulk booking of seva tickets like Thomala, Archana and made them accessible for common pilgrims through current booking.
While addressing the monthly ‘Dial your EO’ programme at Tirumala on Friday at Annamaiah Bhavan the EO said, this decision has been taken by temple management keeping in view the commoners.
However, he said, since some legal cases are pending against some seva tickets, TTD will implement this idea as soon as the legal hurdles are overcome.
He also said that TTD is developing a software so that the on line booking of seva and accommodation could be henceforth done through debit card.
The EO said TTD has decided to install CC cameras at all the reception counters to bring transparency in the administrative set up.
He said even the system at kalyana katta has also been streamlined in such a way that the pilgrims need not have to face any delay from the barbers during shift change.
Reacting to a query made by a pilgrim the EO said, security will be steamlined at Alipiri tollgate. He also said that the temple management will think about setting up a special seva counter for the physically challenged and aged people near temple.
Answering the calls of the pilgrims from Manchiryala and Valmikipuram, the EO said, TTD Sudarshan counters could be set up only at the district headquarters.
